Choose a well-lit photo where your pet's face is sharp and unobstructed. Natural daylight usually gives the best detail. Avoid screenshots, heavy filters and images where the face is very small.
For dark-coated pets, choose a photo with good contrast between the pet and the background. For long-haired pets, side lighting can help show texture.
